She remains dedicated to ensuring current students receive the same level of care and instruction as her own children received. As the pastor's wife and a homeschooling mama of teenagers, she spends a great deal of time at the church with her two children, Adalyn and Alister. She is a proud alumna of the University of Kansas.
Gemma grew up and went to college in the Austin area where she began her career in Early Childhood Education. After serving at First Friends as a teacher for five years, Gemma stepped into the role of Administrative Director. She now serves as a curriculum advisor, manages our finances, and ensures "best practices" as a floating teache

Evan is the pastor of the First Lutheran Church. Originally from Louisiana, he received his Master’s in Divinity from LSTC in Chicago where he met his wife, Amanda. Evan leads First Friends’ chapel where he puts his Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Guitar to good use. In his spare time, he loves to cook, create podcast content, and enjoy hours of time at the ballpark with his son.
